Ryan McCullagh – Vocals, Harmonica, Guitar Miranda Roach – Keyboard,Melodica Braeden Paterson – Guitar Jeff Mitchelmore – Drums Alex Bodman – Bass The Paper Cranes are a husband and wife indie-pop band from Victoria, British Columbia whose specialty is crafting infectiously melodic pop songs with heart-wrenching lyrics that make you want to dance until you pass out and cry into your pillow at the very same time. The band is fronted by multi-instrumentalist, Ryan McCullagh with his wife, Miranda Roach on the keyboards. The domestic duo is joined by Braeden Paterson on the guitar with the rhythm section being comprised of Jeff Mitchelmore and Alex Bodman on the drums and bass guitar, respectively. The five young musicians have won a sizable fan-base in their hometown and abroad with their vibrant live performance and rather dashing wardrobes. During the 3 years that The Paper Cranes have been active they have supported bands like Pretty Girls Make Graves, Wolf Parade, Islands, and The Walkmen amongst many others and have been showcased at Pop Montreal as well as Toronto’s North by Northeast Music Festival. Unfortunately the pictures are not very clear, due to my dirty lens, especially when drops from rain and sea water were added. I had to stop filming when the wind and waves became to strong so the most spectacular part of the trip is not shown: people seasick but still pulling the ropes, at night, for everybody was put in one of the watch shifts scheduled 4 hours on – 4 hours off. I am writing a review for Sea-Band. When I woke this morning to a headache, which turned into a migraine, I decided this would be the time to try their products. After giving myself a shot of medication I use to help me when I am suffering from a migraine, I put the Sea-Band wristbands on.

Rich and Strange (1931) is a film directed by Alfred Hitchcock during his time in the British film industry. It was adapted by Hitchcock, his wife Alma Reville, and Val Valentine from a novel by Dale Collins. The film is most notable for the techniques utilized by Hitchcock that would reappear later in his career. Most notable are the sets, including a recreation of a full-sized ship in a water tank used in the final act of the film. The director also experimented with different camera techniques and shot compositions. Cat owners will remember the scene aboard a Chinese junk, when the crew members fed them a stew made from a feline they had rescued. A couple, Fred (Henry Kendall) and Emily Hill (Joan Barry), living a mundane middle class life in London, receive a telegram informing them of a small fortune given them by an uncle as an advance against their future inheritance, so that they can enjoy it in the present. Immediately Fred takes leave from his job as a clerk and they leave on a cruise for “the Orient”. Fred quickly shows his susceptibility to sea-sickness while crossing the English Channel. While in Paris both are scandalized by the Folies Bergères, demonstrating their shared lack of sophistication. Fred’s sea-sickness manifests itself day after day during the cruise.
